Event Marketing Strategies – Is Your Marketing A Waste Of Time?
Event Marketing Strategies are often a complete waste of time and bring in almost zero results.
If you have been on the internet for a little while, then you have almost certainly received one of those stupid spam emails that goes something like this:
“Hi Dear,
My name is John and I checked your profile and you look so lovely and interesting and I would love to get to know you better. You certainly are very beautiful and I think we would make a lovely couple. Please email me at…”
How sweet, except… I am a guy!
So nice message but sent to the wrong target market!
I am simply not interested and will throw away the email in a flash and maybe even report them.
Are you doing the same with your event marketing strategies?
Marketing is about getting the right message in front of the right person at the right time.
Now using the example above, the timing is maybe right, but it was the wrong message to the wrong person.
For your Event Marketing Strategies to work all three have to be in alignment.
So the 3 questions that should be a priority in your Event Marketing Strategies are:
1) What is my message?
2) Is it going to the right people?
3) Is the timing right?

Other than selling him condoms (it’s actually to late) you could sell him a:
Gun
Dog
Whatever the kid wants
Child minding service…
I am sure you can think of many more, but your marketing strategy should be to get the kid to stop screaming and the guy some peace of mind.
If you can do that, he will buy it!
